A Call For Revolution  9/25/02

Re: Time For A Revolution

This is my responce to an article by George Delo called "Time For A Revolution".

In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers. Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD. Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live forever? But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us. (Zech 1:1-6)

Does this sums up the current state of Gods church. Is it in a state of the absolute lordship of Jesus? Has or will the judgement of God fall on this sad state, and will it repent of "our ways, and according to our doings"?.

Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards. (Song 4:8)

Having tasted the fruits and goodness of God through renewal and revival are we content to expect glory and harvest to follow? We are not expected to leave the mountain tops but to be able to jump into the lions dens, and the mountains of leopards.

Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, and a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard shall watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces: because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.(Jer 5:6)

Warfare requires commitment, obedience, love, faith and the absolute power and lordship of Jesus. If not, "everyone that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces". The church triumphant tears down the strongholds of the enemy, so her king of glory may enter in.

The world is not impressed with corporate structure, church buildings, food drives, sermons, multi-media presentations, pious tithing and pious living, nor other "hit and run" strategies. They are in need, as are we, of the life changing, transforming power of the cross. Resurrection power that takes the keys of death and openly displays them in front of her enemies. It is fueled by the intense love to the Lord, and His sacrifice for the world, and human kind, the love to our brother. In jealous indignant love it pursues His enemies who wish to tear down His atoning sacrifice. It unrelentlessly batters the gates of hell until its occupants begin to flee in terror.

A revolution of this kind will bring more light from heaven with signs and wonders following that this is an acceptable sacrifice unto the Lord. The church prone upon the earth,... a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strewed them in the way. And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. (Mat 21:8-9)
