This morning while listening to a news report regarding the impending conflict with Iraq,
God spoke a word to me, "Jedidiah". I turned to my Bible and learned that the only place it is in found is in II Samuel 12:25.
(Jedidiah means "beloved of God.") 24) Then David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went into her and lay with her. So she
bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. Now the Lord loved him. 25) and He sent word by the hand of Nathan the prophet:
So he called his name Jedidiah, because of the Lord. While I pondered who this Jedidiah was and to whom God was referring,
I saw a vision of a caricature of George W. Bush, the one widely seen with the jug like ears. It was spoken into me that this
was the President's new name. Interpretation: I believe that this means Mr. Bush and America have found favor in the eyes
of God because he has set his face like flint toward the purpose God has given him. Secondly, this chapter of Scripture is
a beautiful picture of the wonder of God.. This gives us a glimpse and a clue of the joyful time of harvest approaching, a
forerunner of the grace to be poured out on the United States of America. After a time of much heart sickness as a result
of sin, David asked the question, "Who can tell whether the Lord will be gracious to me, that the child may live?" (v22) The
child that followed was named Jedidiah, beloved of Yah, "because of the Lord". Because of the sovereignty and purpose of God,
and the obedience of the Christian American leader, George W. Bush, the United States shall see unprecedented spiritual and
natural blessings. The child that shall be born in the United States and Canada shall be the Church of the living God. It
shall be a Church raised in power and strength in numbers. "Hear, O, Israel: You are to cross over the Jordan today, and go
in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and tall, the descendants of the Anakim, whom you
know, and of whom you heard it said, Who can stand before the descendants of Anak?' Therefore understand today that the Lord
your God is He who goes before you is a consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; so you shall
drive them out and destroy them and bring quickly, as the Lord has said to you. Do not think in your heart, after the Lord
your God has cast them out before you, saying, Because of my righteousness the Lord has brought me in to posses this land,'
but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is driving them out from before you. It is not because
of your righteousness or the uprightness of your heart that you go into to possess their land, but because of the wickedness
of these nations that the Lord your God drives them out from before you, and that He may fulfill the word which the Lord swore
to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." (Deut 9:1-5) The unspoken and manifold desires of our hearts shall start to materialize and
begin to bear fruit. Much like a cluster of grapes that is beautiful, sweet and ripe for harvest. God showed His gracious
restoration of the erring David, and it should be noted that some translations use "...So she called his name Jedidiah". God's
gracious restoration also included Bathsheba. The United States, so awash in grievous sin, is still called Jedidiah, beloved
of Yah, by our God. I cannot speak for other nations, for my spiritual eyes are not open to see them, but a gracious restoration
is about to occur in our land. Prepare for the harvest. Make straight the way of the Lord. Prepare His path with honor and
praise for the one who will make it happen.
